material study

Materials study and testing aim to explain the behavior and properties of materials, manufacturing methods, characteristics, durability, and sustainability, most commonly used in construction based on the science of materials. In the first stage of our group project we did extensive research on the material used in our case study, the Sharp Center for Design in Canada. After the research, we brainstormed different designs to build using steel posts, steel beams, aluminum envelopes, glass, and light. After the design process for the last stage we build our design using the same methods used in our case study such as welding, pouring concrete, and light wiring.
